A delivery driver has told how he is forced to keep a bottle of water on his head as he waits to deliver his order to a store in the UK.
Dunkin Donut deliveries in the US are usually delivered within 10 minutes, but in the case of Wendy’s delivery service, it can take up to 30 minutes.
The driver, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal, said the Dunkin delivery driver was a bit tired after driving the delivery for two days, and had a delivery at the time with three other drivers.
“The driver was also very fatigued and had to wear a mask,” he said.
Dunkins delivery service have posted a message on their Twitter account saying: “We’re sorry we’re not up to our usual standard.
We have a number of deliveries coming through the UK that are still taking longer than expected.”
A Dunkin spokesperson said the company was working with local delivery drivers to improve delivery times.
But they did not explain how long it would take for them to reach customers, or say when the new delivery driver would arrive.
According to Dunkin’s website, delivery is one of its main strengths.
It said in March that it delivered more than 50 million packages in the first nine months of this year.
And the company is expected to deliver more than 10 million packages by the end of the year, up from around 10 million last year.
