Schwan’s Amazon delivery driver found guilty of assaulting two customers

A delivery driver has been found guilty at the Old Bailey of assaulting a customer and using abusive language.

The jury heard how the driver was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

The trial, which heard a video of the incident was released, was adjourned until March 11.

Mr Schwan, 46, was jailed for five years and three months for the assault.

He was found guilty on the charge of assaulting the woman in a public place on October 30 last year.

A third woman also testified against Mr Schwaans.

The case was adjourn to March 11 for sentencing.

The Old Bailey heard the incident took place on a street in Wandsworth, south London.

The court heard the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she was in a nearby pub with a friend when she noticed a man delivering a parcel.

The woman said she felt uncomfortable and asked him to move her friend away from him, which he did.

She said the man made a “disturbing” comment about her, then slapped her on the face.

“I was in the pub when he did this,” she said.

“We were talking about it and then she said ‘you’ve got to stop’.”

She said he then punched her in the face twice.

Mr Jones said police were unable to comment on whether the assault was recorded or not.
