The store was originally scheduled to open on Monday, but the company has postponed the opening, as it is facing a series of storms in Europe.
A Kroger spokesperson told the Irish Times that the store has been temporarily closed.
The spokesperson said: “Due to heavy rain we have temporarily cancelled the opening of the store for the time being.
The company is working closely with the local authorities and local communities to get the stores back up and running as soon as possible.”
The spokesperson added that the company had been working with local authorities in other parts of the country to address storm conditions.
“We want to thank all our loyal customers for their patience during this challenging time.
The Kroger team is working diligently to return to normal operations in the coming days,” the spokesperson said.
The storm is expected to affect the city of Dublin for the next two weeks.
