A delivery manager at a fast-food restaurant in Alabama was jailed on Friday for stealing $6,000 from a customer.
The customer complained about a package of groceries that arrived late on Wednesday, and the manager allegedly told her it was the wrong delivery because she had been late to work, according to the Alabamian newspaper the Alachua Times.
The manager then left the store with the money.
Afterward, the customer called police, who responded and arrested the manager, Alachue County Sheriff Chris Jones said.
The $6.1 million stolen from the customer is valued at about $2,700, according the sheriff.
